What is your turnaround time?

My current turn around time is 12 weeks, this can vary at any time and will be updated as needed. 

Why does it take so long?

Each piece is created by one person, me! There are many steps involved in making a piece of jewelry from ordering supplies, preparing and preserving  your inclusion(s), mixing, sanding, setting and polishing! I strive to give you a good quality keepsake so timing is important. I appreciate your patience as you wait for your precious keepsake!

How does it work?

Once you place your order you will receive an email with shipping instructions for your inclusion, if you do not see an email check your junk mail and if its still not there feel free to email me at annasartbyfaith@gmail.com and I will be happy to give you instructions. You will receive an email with tracking when your item(s) has shipped. While I do my best to respond to messages and emails please remember I do work alone and also have a daughter so most of my work is done at night the less time I spend replying to inquiries about order status, the more time I have to spend creating. Email me with any questions and thank you again for your support!

when ordering rings please make sure you have your correct ring size. These rings can not be re-sized.

How much of each inclusion is needed?

*Breastmilk- please limit to 2oz. it typically only takes 10ml to make 3 pieces of jewelry, I do freeze the remaining amount for 6 months. In case you would like to order another piece, after 6 months the breastmilk will be discarded.
I can use fresh, frozen, high lipase and even spoiled breastmilk because it’s not being used for human consumption it’s perfectly safe for the jewelry. If it is frozen I do ask that you thaw before sending, to prevent condensation 

*Hair- 20-25 strands of human or pet hair per piece, I do ask for more if the hair is very light. should be at least 2 inches long but I can still create a keepsake with any amount or length. Unused hair will be discarded unless you specifically request that it is returned with your piece. 

*Ashes- 1/2 tsp is needed. Any ashes that are not used will be returned to you with your finished piece.

*Placenta- 1 capsule of dried placenta. Any unused portion will be discarded unless you specifically request that it is returned.

*Umbilical Stump- You can send either the whole dried stump or just the pieces you would like included in your piece. If you send the whole stump I will return any unused portion with your finished piece unless requested to discard. Please note *umbilical stumps will be crushed up unless specified otherwise.

*Flowers-  I only accept already dried flowers,I prefer them to be flattened, to do this you place them in between 2 pieces of paper towel and put them in a book with another heavy book or object on top. Dry and flatten for at least a week or more depending on what flower is used. Message me if you have any questions.

Will it look exactly like the sample photo?

No two pieces will be exactly alike because all pieces are hand crafted ( with love ❤️) because of this, color and shape can vary piece by piece. There may also be small air bubbles, particles, or other slight imperfections. These differences are what makes each piece unique in its own way. There will never be air bubbles large enough to impair the integrity of the piece

 

Returns/Exchanges

Because each piece is handcrafted with your breastmilk/inclusions, I do not accept any returns or exchanges, if for some reason you are not happy with your keepsake, please contact me as soon as you receive it and I will try to resolve the issue. Any damages that occur during shipping must be reported immediately.

Will it change color over time?

-If cared for properly your piece should remain the same as when you receive it but due to environmental factors I cannot guarantee this and cannot be held liable. I do use jewelers grade resin that has UV stabilizers to resist yellowing but over time some slight yellowing may occur, especially with prolonged sun exposure. It’s import to follow the care instructions included with your finished piece.

*I do offer a 6 month guarantee against any major color changes for breastmilk pieces, this covers any possible issues that could happen during the preservation process

What types of metal do you use?

You will find a variety of different options in each listing with the choice of sterling silver, vermeil, gold filled and solid gold.

Sterling silver settings are .925 silver. Sterling silver, even real .925 sterling silver, will always tarnish overtime due to environmental factors however, simply use a jewelry cloth or silver polishing cloth and rub your setting gently and it will look brand new again! 

Vermeil refers to items made of silver that are plated with a thin layer of solid gold, the layer of gold over the silver can wear off with time especially when not taken care of properly or exposing it to chemicals, frequent hand washing, pools, and doing the dishes, vermeil can not be re-plated. If this is a concern for you please think about choosing another metal. Vermeil plating will typically last a few years if well taken care of. 

Gold filled refers to a brass core with a thick layer of solid gold. Gold filled is a perfect cost effective way of getting the solid gold look without paying the price of solid gold. The layer of gold will not wear off but gold filled jewelry is a lot softer than solid gold so it can scratch, bend and dent, taken care of properly this metal will last a life time. 

Solid gold is durable and thicker, this is always my option of choice if affordable to you, as the metal will last a life time and will not bend, scratch or dent. 

How do I care for my keepsake jewelry?

Please treat your jewelry like all other precious items... with care. The jewelry grade resin is water resistant and durable for wearing (with care), however, I do not recommend showering or swimming with it on. It should also be removed when working or cleaning with chemicals. Avoid steam rooms, saunas, spray tans, hot tubs, lotion, and perfume while wearing the pieces. Additionally, please avoid extremes in temperature change such as leaving it in the car on a hot summer day. All metals can tarnish if not properly cared for, even solid gold.
